This is your moment to present your work in both the Art Capital of the West: New York City & the Hottest Burgeoning Art Scene in the East: Taipei. Introduce your artwork to the world’s most vital communities of international art world players – including artists, collectors, curators, gallerists, critics and enthusiasts, on both sides of the world. New York City and Taipei will be your platform to showcase your unique creative vision. The world is yours, if you want it.
Artists will be working across a range of media, including digital drawings, user generated video content, locative technology and innovative software programmes. Two new online projects, with a focus on innovation, playfulness and impact. Web Commissions 2011 is a series of new artworks commissioned by Film and Video Umbrella which utilise and engage with online platforms as sites for making, viewing and participating in contemporary art. The works will exploit and exist in multiple formats, including apps, social networks and filmmaking forums. Highlighting the collaborative, instantaneous and fluid nature of the internet, these new commissions capture and explore the ever-evolving creative potential of online culture.

Honeywood Museum is looking for an experienced artwork photographer to train a group of volunteers, with varied photography experience, in photographing artwork. Honeywood Museum will provide the training venue, equipment and refreshments for the training days.
The training will last two days, Thursday 11th and Friday 12th August 2011, for a fee of up to £850. The photographer will be expected to develop an exciting two day programme that equips the volunteers with the skills to photograph Honeywood Museum’s art collection to publishing standard.
The closing date for tenders is Friday 1st July, and applicants will be informed of the decision by 12th July.
